It is a lamp designed to look like the earth (somewhat) AND it’s solar powered. The lamp is illuminated by a soft white LED light that is charged all day by the sun, so it can light up for you at night.  The solar panels are located on the stakes and come with two AA rechargeable NI-MH batteries.
