I have to say I couldn’t believe my eyes when I first spotted this. The Writer’s Assistant Cassette Player and Recorder is not some USB converter, MP3 player in disguise, or some retro type purse. This is the real deal – a tape recorder meant for writers to record their thoughts and ideas before putting them down on paper or blog…The design is similar to what your parents and probably your grandparents had – It has a built-in mic with Stop/Play/Pause/Fast Forward/Rewind/Eject buttons, a 3.5mm mic/headphone input port, 100-10kHz frequency, and integrated carry handle and wall plug (though it can also run on 4-C batteries). As much as this is cool – probably finding the tapes to go into this thing will take you forever. The Writer’s Assistant Cassette Player and Recorder retails for $50 but I’m sure you can find someone in your family who still has one for free.
