G-Shock’s sister brand of watches for women has always been Baby-G, but as much as we love Baby-G we often find ourselves wishing that G-Shock was made for women too. It looks like someone finally heard our wishes, because Casio has announced the G-Shock Mini line of watches for women. These watches feature all the ruggedness and features of G-Shock but in sized proportions and colors that will appeal more to women. Some of the new G-Shock Mini’s features include shock resistance, 100M water resistance, full auto EL backlight with afterglow, 48-city world time, 5 daily alarms, countdown timer, 1/100 second chronograph and 12/24 formats. The watches will be available at Bloomingdales and many other stores for $95.00.
Unlike the conventional G-Shock watches, whose tough look is usually favoured by men, the new G-Shock Mini line is incredibly feminine thanks to its petite size and eye-catching colorways of white, pink and black. Available in three distinct models, the GMN-691 (which is reminiscent of the DW6900), the eye-catching GMN-550 (modeled after the classic G5500) and the elegant GMN-50G (which captures the look and feel of the first ani-digi), the G-Shock Mini has a look for even the most fashion forward of women.
