Just recently construction began on MahaNakhon, a residential and hotel tower designed by internationally celebrated German architect Ole Scheeren, so what makes it so special that we should write about it? The building’s glittering stacked surfaces, terraces and protrusions simultaneously create the impression of digital pixelation. The MahaNakhon will also be Bangkok’s tallest building , and will feature a landscaped outdoor public plaza, luxury retail space, restaurants, cafes and a 24 hour marketplace. The Ritz-Carlton Residences, and a collaboration between hotelier Ian Schrager; will also be incorporated within the structure. For geeks however, there is finally a pixel palace for them stay at when they travel to Bangkok.
