I would use the TouchSmart 600 to help me with the pursuit of my degree in technology for eduation. I have a substandard computer and cannot afford a newer computer. Please select me, i really need it!

I’d use it as a media center, for TV, DVD’s, Internet video, and a display for my Xbox 360.

I recently started a new job. I can work from home sometimes so I would set up the HP to help me keep up with work stuff especially the publishing of newsletters, invites, brochures, etc. It would be a great addition.

I would use it to help me organize my photos and edit them. We take many photos of our child to share with overseas relatives, so this would be a huge help. I also would use the computer for watching movies!

Give it to my kids so they can use it for both school and play. Everytime we go to Staples it’s what they run up to first and play Mahjong Titans. I will mount it on a Ergotron mount with the appropriate VESA adapter so they can move it around and have enough room on their desk for their homework and Blu-Ray movie watching!

As a University student I would use this for all the multimedia requirements for classes and as a full fledged home media center alternative to save money on a dedicated dvd/blu-ray player and tv set. Also to store and play my music of course while studying or relaxing.

i’d finish transferring all my family movies to dvd, along with all the music performances i taped from tv in the 80s. the computer i have now is slow and the monitor doesn’t have much real estate for video production.

I only have a laptop and every time my daughter visits she hogs it the whole time and I have to watch TV. If I had this PC I could set it up for her to use whenever she is over.

This Touchsmart would go a long way to replacing and improving my home network and den. I currently am running my network from a single core eMachine with a 19″ Monitor.

I would just touch it (smartly) for about a week. Maybe I’d load up a really huge pretty picture (like this one http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/4/49/Orion_Nebula_-_Hubble_2006_mosaic_edit.jpg) and just marvel at how much fun it is to scroll scroll scroll around with a finger.

Eventually, after the novelty wore off, I’d try doing some graphic design work with it, and then use it to watch all my favorite HD videos; from Hulu to Lulu (my favorite ChipChick Editor)

A touch screen computer for mom would be great. She finally have no reason not to use a computer. I think this would make her feel less scared of a computer. No keyboard, just touch and go. She is always so afraid of touching the wrong key. And what Mother’s Day gift it would be!!

It will definitely be my mini home theater and gaming desktop. I love HD movies and I would love to get this 23” HD big screen with touchscreen capability along with blu-ray optical drive. With touchscreen capability, I can even play more games which need touchscreen features. Furthermore, it will be much more easier and fun for me to view my photos without using mouse.

I’d LOVE to replace my relic computer with an HP Touch-Smart 600. I do lots of my work at home, and would love an efficient machine for a change. This would be an excellent tool for graphic work, media consumption, and putting the little ones to sleep (they like a particular youtube French lullabye). Due to the proximity of our desks in the office, it would be an excellent tool for demoing images and such for my wife’s website updates for her online business without her saying “I can’t see that…can you zoom in?”

I would like to say I’d give this to my son for school, but I gotta be honest – I’ve heard all sorts of rave reviews about the Recipe Box program, between that and the fact that it’s a touch-screen, I’m SOOO keeping this for me!

I love that this is VESA-mount complaint, so I can mount it to the wall to save valuable counter space (and save it from unexpected spills). Hulu and Netflix interfaces means I can download and watch videos with ease (since my laundry room is adjacent to my kitchen, I sometimes spend hours in there between cooking, cleaning and laundry – now I can be entertained at the same time!). The wireless keyboard means when I do get a chance to sit down (bliss!) I can still operate the PC

I’d use this to allow my husband and I to have a home workstation to help us finish our college coursework, and I’d give my old computer to my baby sister a thousand miles away who has a new infant and no way to share photos and daily communication with the rest of the family.

as a college student it difficult to survive without a good computer, which i am lacking. but with the touchsmarts capabilities it will be easy to stay on top of school and be able to entertain myself and others as well

First, I would have to run it through gauntlet of tests and post a full review. Then it would be a great addition to my desktop replacement in my office. I would hang this on the back of my desk integrating it into a my workspace making a super clean ergonimic desk with no wires and smooth workspace. This machine is a beast. My son Owen (9), has Down’s Syndrome. The TouchScreen has opened up the world of computing to him and he is lost without it.

Winning the TouchSmart would make my Owen a very happy boy again.

I’m ridiculously excited. I’ve read so much about this computer and I’m finally getting one! Many thanks to HP (for continuing to innovate with products like this and the mythical HP Slate) & Chip Chick for throwing this contest. Can’t wait to get my grubby hands on it!

Well, I work for a literacy program at a non-profit organization, and how I would use it is pretty much by taking it on the road. I do workshops and presentation for parents about the importance of literacy in their homes, and it would be a great tool to use it during the presentations. I can access the web, maybe do power point presentations during my meetings with the parents.

I would love to have something like this as I would use it everyday until it burned itself out!
