Toshiba Releases Canvio for Mac Ultraportable Hard Drives

Today Toshiba announced their new Canvio for Mac portable hard drives. There is nothing worth writing home about here exactly, but the drive’s are decent looking though with a silver refinish, and they’re reasonably priced. It will cost $119 for the 500GB version, $139 for the 750GB version, and $189 for the 1TB version. The drive also comes with NTI Shadow 5 for Mac software that enables fully-customized backup and synchronization, including the backup of specific folders, certain file types, or even a complete system backup and recovery of everything that is saved on the computer. And for security freaks, the drive also supports password protection with 256-bit data encryption.
