So back when the iPad was first announced, many lamented that “iPad” was a horrible name, since you couldn’t help but associate it with a sanitary product. For some people, the joke still isn’t over. At PadPortrait.com anyone with an iPad or iPhone can hold up their device to their webcam, and using augmented reality they’ll be able to see an image of a flying 3D maxi-pad flapping its wings on top of their iPad. Users can then capture a photo of their “i”device in flight and leave it on the site. Although not quite as good an idea as Chat Roulette, you got to give the creators of PadPortrait some street cred for creating a concept for a site that is utterly and totally ridiculous.
