Win 1 of 5 Samsung Rugby II Phones and a Trip to Argentina!

samsungrugby1 Win 1 of 5 Samsung Rugby II Phones and a Trip to Argentina!

Attention clumsy cell phone users, the Samsung Rugby II is the phone for you! The Samsung Rugby II is a 3G phone that has been built to military specifications to withstand dust, shock, vibration, rain, humidity, altitude and temperature extremes. But besides for being super rugged, you can use the Rugby II to surf the web, take pictures on its 2MP camera, and even check your mail on the go. We’re giving away 5 of the Samsung Rugby II phones – courtesy of AT&T!
AT&T has provided us with these phones to giveaway in celebration of the fact that AT&T and TOMS Shoes – the company that gives away a pair of shoes to a child in a developing country for every pair purchased – are near the millionth pair drop in Argentina this Fall. To celebrate this monumental event, supporters can design their own virtual pair of TOMS Shoes at www.att.net/toms during the AT&T Sole Styler promotion between August 9 and 29. One Sole Styler winner and a guest will be selected at random to attend the one millionth shoe drop in Argentina.

In addition, AT&T and TOMS Shoes are teaming up with Gowalla – a location-based mobile and web service – to spread the word about the TOMS Shoes one millionth pair shoe drop, and to allow users to interact with the latest mobile technology while registering for the chance to win prizes from AT&T.  Between August 16 and 29, each time a Gowalla user – regardless of wireless provider – ‘checks in’ on their mobile device** at locations that fall under the apparel or technology category, he or she will have the chance to find a virtual item, win an instant prize and will be entered for the chance to win the grand prize trip to Argentina. Instant prizes include a pair of TOMS Shoes, AT&T smartphones and AT&T netbooks. One grand prize winner will be randomly selected from amongst all participants to win a trip to attend the one millionth shoe drop in Argentina in September with a guest.

There are three ways to Enter to win a Samsung Rugby II:
1. Tweet at us saying “I want to win the Samsung Rugby II Phone from AT&T http://bit.ly/a6WPoJ @chip_chick @attnews”

I need the phone for my husband, he really needs to replace his phone. He is using my old freebie phone from a contract and it is on it’s last breath. We can’t afford a new one and are hoping to win your prize. My husband owns a business, whereby he tends to use his phone a lot and text his customers. It’d be nice to finally replace his phone.

    1. I tweeted http://twitter.com/simplydab/status/22452805793

    2. I need the Samsung Rugby II Phone because I’m still using my trusty Sony Ericsson W300i that I’ve had for about the last 5 years (a gift from my ex, he used to work for the company).

Forgetting for a moment that it’s a daily reminder of a relationship that didn’t end well *sigh*, the phone is starting to become unreliable. It’s dropping calls more than usual, I sometimes have trouble hearing the person on the phone and will have to try 2 or 3 times before I get a good connection, some of the pixels on the display screen are burnt out and sometimes the 2 doesn’t want to work.

I won’t even talk about all the current functionality available in phones today, that I don’t have the ability to take advantage of. I feel like I’m using an 8-track player in a land of mp3 players.

I was eligible for an upgrade with AT&T ~ 8 months ago (yes, I already have AT&T so if I won no problems activating the phone for me!) but I had to instead use my upgrade to discount the price of my son’s replacement iPhone. He had it about a month and it was stolen – of course, not covered by warranty or my homeowner’s insurance. So, I have to wait more than a year before I can upgrade my phone.

Being able to surf the web on my phone and check email would be awesome! Not to mention the protection from vibrations, shock, dust, etc – I’m bad about throwing my phone in my purse where it gets tossed around and picks up all sorts of lint, etc.

    3. I just emailed you.
