I’m so glad Barbie is getting “smarter.” Almost makes up for the Barbie a few years back that would say “math and Science are hard.” Yeah for the geek girls!

I love that this Barbie makes it clear that girls can be computer geeks too. :) I have 2 daughters and a hubby that is an IT specialist and self proclaimed “computer geek”. This doll would be perfect for girls like mine since they idoloze their daddy. It shows them that this isn’t just a “man” thing. Love it!!

  • EvaMarie

She is fabulous beyond words! I AM a web designer gurl. It’s about time that little girls see smart attractive women can be something brainy and not just soft and fluffy. thanks, Mattel!

I love that this Barbie shows that girls can be smart and fashionable! I just hope that they also are producing the African American Barbie as a computer engineer, then she’d be perfect for me!

As a female computer engineer myself, this is freaking awesome. Maybe, just maybe, if I give this Barbie to my niece, she will consider my career choice a little more valid. Even if Computer Engineer Barbie is still unrealistically busty and thinks a bluetooth headset is a necessary accessory.

engineer barbie is an inspiriation to us all.

  • Vasthorizon

She is me!! I am a tall blond computer engineer and have was the only girl in most of my high school and colleger math classes, way before it was “cool” to be a geek. If she can get more girls to think about computers as a great career choice, right on!!

  • Newkidooo

I’m a computer engineer — with glasses :) — and I love the idea of Computer Engineer Barbie. My daughter and her friends think that what I do is geeky. With this Barbie, the idea of working with computers is more appealing to the girls.
