LG Shows Off First Glasses Free 3D Mobile TV
What’s even better than a digital TV that is mobile ready? A digital mobile TV that is 3D capable – but without having to use any glasses! At CES LG is showing off a prototype of a 7″ mobile TV receiver that features auto-stereoscopic capability that eliminates the need for special viewing glasses to see 3D TV images. PBS Channel 11 in Vegas is the first U.S. broadcast station to transmit 3D images via the ATSC Mobile Digital Television Standard that the system uses. To top it all off, the device can also work as a digital photo frame and sports a 800×480 resolution. There is no word on when a mobile TV like this will come to market, but it cant be all that far off… we hope.
