Google Launches Person Finder for Japan Earthquake

Google has launched yet another Person Finder database. This time it’s designed to help people locate family and friends who might be missing in the 8.9 magnitude earthquake and series of tsunamis that are currently hitting Japan.

Unfortunately, it was just a few weeks ago when Google launched a people finder to help people in the wake of a 6.3-magnitude earthquake that struck New Zealand.  In regards to New Zealand, could they get hit again with another natural disaster? They have been put on a tsunamis alert as well the Philippines, Indonesia, Hawaii, and many others. Let’s hope a person finder doesn’t have to be launched for these places too.
