It sounds a little stalker-ish, but Glympse is actually a pretty useful little app that does one thing, and does it really well. The owner of the Android phone can send ‘glympses’ to select people, which give real-time updates as to where you are, exactly, and your movements, on a GPS map. It’s web-based for the receivers, so only you need to actually have the app. When you send a glympse, you specify a time limit – if you’re running late for a meeting, you can send a glympse that lasts until around the time you’ll arrive, so your bosses won’t be able to keep tracking you after the meeting is over. The recipients of the glympse will only be able to see your movements during that window. Glympse is available now from the Android Market for free.
