HP has taken their Z-series of workstations and freshened them up. The Z-series is made up of affordable entry-level workstation PCs which are designed ideally for those working entry-level in MCAD/AEC, video editing, education, public sector and image viewing markets. The Z series is available in 2 form factors, a convertible min-tower and a small form factor which ha s atoll less chassis. The small form factor is actually 65% smaller than the convertible min-tower and is best suited for tight spaces. Under the hood, the Z-series can be configured with both AMD or Nvidia 2D and 3D choices of graphics, as well as Intel integrated graphics. Other options include a choice of an Intel Xeon E3 processor, or a second gen Intel Core i3, i5, or i7 processor. All of the PCs come bundled with HP Performance Advisor which is designed to help keep the system running in tip top shape by optimizing the workstation’s configuration, drivers, and graphics performance. The PCs are also HP’s most energy efficient workstations so far an promise to have 90% efficient power supplies. They are also available with Energy Star 5 configurations.
Pricing for the HP Z210 convertible min-tower Workstation starts at $659 and the HP Z210 small form-factor Workstation starts at $569.
