The much rumored BlackBerry Bold Touch with a touchscreen has finally been officially announced by RIM. RIM has announced two new models, the BlackBerry Bold Touch 9900 and 9930. These new smartphones both sport a touchscreen along with a keyboard. They also happen to be the thinnest BlackBerry phones yet, and they’ll also come running the new BlackBerry OS 7. BlackBerry OS 7 includes an improved browser with support for HTML 5 along with the ability to manage personal content separately from corporate content.
Under the hood the phones will be powered by a 1.2GHZ processor, a Liquid Graphics touch screen, a built-in compass, 720P HD video recording, along with support for 4G/HSPA+ networks and NFC. The 9900 will be a GSM based model, while the 9930 will be CDMA based. The phones are expected to arrive sometime next month.
