Leelee Sobieski Forbids Gadgets for Her Daughter

lelee Leelee Sobieski Forbids Gadgets for Her Daughter

Unlike Sandra Bullock who embraces technology when it comes to raising her son, actress Leelee Sobieski believes in just saying No to gadgets. Sobieski has almost completely banned her 17 month old daughter, Louisanna ‘Lewi’ Ray, from electronics and TV shows. That includes the likes of computer programs, and popular educational programs like Baby Einstein.

Sobieski does however permit her daughter to watch a cartoon-like song on her computer, as well as a five minute clip of a French Short film, but for now that is it. Leelee says that she understands that you have to be aware of the times, but at the moment she wants her baby to “enjoy her childhood.”

“I don’t want her to not be able to talk with her friends about what’s going on, but I really want to encourage the reading and the playing,” she explains. ”A lot of kids now in New York I see can open an iPhone before they can even walk practically. [They do] the finger slide.”

Leelee does have a point, a lot of little ones nowadays are able to operate iPads and iPhones at extremely young ages. And there are a ton of apps coming out designed for children to support that. But while we do agree that Leelee has the right to her own opinions and methods for raising her child, we’re sticking with camp Bullock.
