Windows Phone 7 App of the Week: USA Today Finally Hits Windows Phones

I must give props to USA Today. They were one of the first newspapers to have their fingers on the pulse of technology and began rolling out different versions of their newspaper to support different platforms and they have done it again. National newspaper USA Today has finally unveiled their mobile app for Windows 7 phones. It’s available for free now, and if you’re a fan of the newspaper, or of getting news in a quick and digestible format, you might want to give it a look. It’s been designed to fit the style of Windows 7 phones, but other than that, it’s much the same as it is on other smartphone platforms. You’ll get national news, global news, politics, sports, weather, and everything else you’d find in a newspaper. For the weather, you can access real time information based on your exact location, in addition to radar information and forecasts. If you download the stories you want to read ahead of time, the app is also accessible offline. It promises to be updated 24/7, so if you want constant, up to the second news on your Windows Phone, USA Today seems like a solid option.
