NBC Sends Wonder Woman Back to the Amazons

It may be old news for some, but for others who haven’t heard – Wonder Woman has been rejected by NBC. Sadly our Amazon princess will never get a chance to lasso any evildoers this fall season. Sure, we all scoffed at the ridiculous Wonder Woman outfit that Adrianne Palicki was poured into but nonetheless, we still wanted it to see the light of day. Supposedly test audiences didn’t seem to care for the pilot, and then, according to NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt, it just didn’t fit into NBC’s schedule. Seriously, how could a show like this fit into a schedule with “The Voice” or “Biggest Loser”? Priorities people! Perhaps it was just that NBC feared that there was bad karma leftover from Heroes and The Cape….

“I hate to disappoint anybody. I know there are legions of fans of the original show,” Greenblatt told EW. “I don’t know if it’s cursed or what. I just have this one experience. They made a really fine pilot and Adrianne Palicki did a fantastic job. You look at what you have, what you need,  and it just didn’t seem to fit in with what we were doing.”

After all, how many of you were hoping to get a sneak peek at Comic-Con this year of the pilot? I know I was. However, hope may not be completely lost because NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt hinted that Warner Bros TV may shop the pilot around. So Diana may just lasso a station yet.

In other news it seems that Rihanna and Chris Brown have both been listening to the Genesis song, ‘Follow you, Follow Me’ because both did just that in a span of a few minutes on Twitter. I guess the saying “I can’t live with you/I can’t live without you” holds true for this pair. Check out the gallery above to see other celebs who got their tech on this past week.
