Every once in a while, an app comes along that is stunning for the fact that it hasn’t been done to perfection already. Bizzy is one of those apps. Yelp is nice when you’re trying to find a new restaurant, but every place has mixed reviews. Sometimes, Yelp gives you a winner; other times, not so much. Bizzy promises to be a smart Yelp. It aggregates reviews in a similar way, but always pays special attention to your likes and dislikes.
Bizzy takes your preferences into account when suggesting a new place based on your search. In the same vein as Foursquare, you can check out of places, leaving behind a review and information for Bizzy to use next time you use the app to search for a new place. You can’t leave as robust of a review as you can on Yelp, but there’s a smiley face rating scale and short tips you can leave. There’s Twitter and Facebook integration, too. Of course, the success of Bizzy, like all other apps similar to it, relies on enough people actually using it. So, if you like the idea, tell your friends and see if you can get it to catch on – otherwise, there won’t be much point in using it. It’s available now for free from the iTunes App Store.
