America's Got Talent Meets TRON in Team iLuminate
If there is one reason to tune into America’s Got Talent, it’s Team iLuminate. This group of innovative contestants epitomize wearable technology. We aren’t talking about t-shirts that make a drum sound, or locate Wi-Fi signals. If successful, they could possibly go on to become as big as the Blue Man Group.
Their wearable technology may look familiar to those who are fans of TRON, and it only makes it that more endearing to us.
The group was founded by Miral Kotb, who began formalizing the concept two years ago. He chose the best dancers he could find from around the country and then created a light suit to emit a visual experience, the likes of which has never been seen before. By combining music and dance – Team iLuminate captivates the audience and TV viewers with choreography and technology that is ordinarily not seen on a live stage.
If you haven’t been watching America’s Got Talent – I highly suggest you do, just for this act alone. The visuals of the performance are outstanding and combined with Katy Perry’s E.T. soundtrack, really, what more could a geek ask for. I know I’ll be voting for them because I want to see what they come up with next.
