Epson is making it a lot easier to print on the go thanks to their new Epson Connect program. Epson Connect will allow mobile device users to connect directly to a Wi-Fi enabled Epson printer in range, and print directly from their mobile device.
One service is called Email Print, which allows users to e-mail attachments or messages directly to an Epson printer via Wi-Fi, which prints the material for you. Epson iPrint is an app for Android and iOS devices which allows you to send even more content found online directly to a printer via Wi-Fi. In addition to Epson’s in-house solutions, all new Epson models released from September on will be compatible with Google Cloud Print and Apple AirPrint, meaning direct printing of your Gdocs or documents on your iOS devices will be possible.
All of these solutions mean that no printing drivers are necessary for your mobile devices – everything is handled by direct Wi-Fi communication between your device and the nearby, Wi-Fi enabled Epson printer. Simple and easy – perfect for people on the go! So, most of us.
