Lost in Space B-9 Robot Costs $41k, Danger, Will Robinson, Danger!
When it comes to the history of Sci-Fi, Lost in Space is definitely one of the campier ones. But that doesn’t stop it from being loved by many. And who better to share your love of the show with, than with a life sized Lost in Space B-9 Robot. After all, he won’t ever judge you!
The Lost in Space B-9 Robot, (Class M-3 Model B9 General Utility Non-Theorizing Environmental Control Robot) might actually be the most well known part of the show since it’s this bot that uttered the famous “Danger, Will Robinson, Danger!” words. But this robot is no toy, it’s a fully-functioning reproduction. It’s actually based on original molds and reference material from the robot design in the third season of the show. That means that it has got everything including an acrylic bubble-head, laser-cut steel ‘brain’, engraved acrylic chest buttons, rubber tread belts, knee bellows, leg bellows, and hundreds of individually fabricated parts. The B-9 can even move his head, ear sensors, torso and soil sampler, and he can also open and close his ‘claws’. You can make this all happen using a remote control.
And the cost to live out your childhood dream of being Will Robinson? A whopping $41,310! At that price, perhaps you’d be better suited to live out your childhood dream of owning a Porsche! The bubble-headed Lost in Space B-9 Robot is available for pre-order now from Firebox.
