Toshiba UK was busy at the IFA 2011 trade show in Berlin today. One of the many headline-making announcements was Europe’s first all-in-one computer – a computer that houses the CPU and the monitor in the same shell. The Toshiba Qosimo DX730 is space-saving, but it has the specs to make it a worthwhile addition in the current market, too.
For processors, you have the choice of Intel Core i3, Core i5, or Pentium processors. The most powerful, Core i7, is absent, but there are very few people who truly need or will ever use the kind of processing power the i7 brings to the table – at least not anytime soon. You can get up to 6 GB of internal memory, and storage comes in at an impressive 1 TB. It’s not clear as of yet which graphics cards will be available with the Qosimo DX730.
The main attraction is the screen, which is 23” and features Resolution+ technology for image processing, which is great for HD in addition to enhancing and optimizing standard definition content. The screen is also multi-touch capable.
The Qosimo DX730 has Freeview built-in, which finds free-to-air content in the United Kingdom, along with a Blu-Ray player, to take advantage of the screen’s HD, 1920 x 1080 resolution capabilities.
As of yet, pricing information and a ship date are unknown. Keep an eye out for more information about the Toshiba Qosimo DX730 if you’re living across the pond.
