After months of anticipation, the Windows Phone 7.5 update (AKA Mango) is finally available for Windows Phone 7 users. The update began rolling out around the world at 1PM EST today. Microsoft says that the update will gradually be rolled out and that most customers will receive it over the next four weeks. This is a global update that applies to all carriers and phone models and countries.
According to the U.S. update schedule, the update is currently being delivered to most AT&T and T-Mobile customers. So far the delivery has begun for the HTC Surround, LG Quantum, and Samsung Focus v. 1.3., while the HTC HD7S is currently listed as Scheduling, the Samsung Focus v. 1.4 is in Testing, the Dell Venue Pro is in the Planning stage. Unfortunately the Dell Venue Pro and HTC HD7S. don’t have a scheduled update.

This announcement coincides with T-Mobile’s announcement today that they will be offering the HTC Radar 4G. The HTC Radar 4G is their first 4G Windows Phone. The HTC Radar sports a slick aluminum unibody design with a 3.8″ LCD, and it’s running on a 1GHz Snapdragon processor with a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash.
