The holiday season is coming up – the telecommunications market knows this very well. The holiday product blitz is just getting into gear, and T-Mobile is throwing a couple tablets your way in the hopes they end up on many wish lists this year.
The popular Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is coming to T-Mobile, which is sure to perk up the ears of a lot of T-Mobile subscribers. If you’re interested in something a little more affordable, T-Mobile will be selling the 7” SpringBoard Tablet, as well.
The 7” SpringBoard will be less expensive and more mobile than the 10.1” Galaxy Tab, and will run Android 3.2 Honeycomb. It’s running on a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, and is HD compatible. 720p HD video can be recorded with the 5 MP camera, and there is a 1.3 MP front-facing camera, as well. Using the SD card slot, storage can be as much as 32 GB. There’s also a host of pre-loaded media apps like Netflix, Blockbuster, Slacker Radio, and T-Mobile TV. It’s not the technical juggernaut that the Galaxy Tab 10.1 is, but it’ll be all most people need in a multipurpose mobile media player.
Pricing and availability are currently unknown, but T-Mobile promises both tablets will be in stores in time for the holiday season. Somehow, I believe them.
