If you enjoyed Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em Robots, the Movie (er, Real Steel), you should be happy to know that your day has finally come. No longer do you need to sit outside of the ring, using a plastic joystick to make your robot battle on the way to victory. Now, you can hop in the driver’s seat and get up close and personal with your opponents.

The Bionic Bopper Cars are part bumper cars and part fighting robots. Competitors hop into the seat inside each robot, and use two joysticks to box with the robots’ tire-treaded, pneumatic arms. Points are scored by connecting with solid hits to the face – you’ll know you got scored on when your robot’s head gets pushed back a little bit. A Honda gas engine propels the fighters to up to 3 miles per hour, and powers the arms for five hours of furious metal carnage.

If you order the Bionic Bopper Cars by December 1st from Hammacher Schlemmer, Christmas delivery is guaranteed. Just make sure you have plenty of room in the backyard – you’ll need it for these steel, fiberglass, and aluminum titans. It comes as no surprise that the price tag feels a lot like a gut punch from one of these robots – $17,000 for a pair of welded warriors. But, if you loved Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em Robots, rejoice. The dream is now reality.
