Impossible Project Resurrects Polaroid 600 For Urban Outfitters

Digital cameras? Mainstream. Hipster central Urban Outfitters is selling a very limited edition treat for fans of the original instant photography device — the Polaroid camera. They are selling the remaining refurbished units of the Sun 600, made in the 1980s.

The Vintage Polaroid 600 Camera Kit, by the Impossible Project, also comes with two packs of film — one for color shade and the other for silver shade. And, if you run out, believe it or not that film is now back in production, so you can scour the Internet to find more if you need to.

The Vintage Polaroid 600 Camera Kit sells now for $180 off Urban Outfitters’ website. Grab one while you can, hop on your fixed gear bicycle, and go nuts. It’s the cutting edge of hipsterism.

  1. Oh cool! Remember the 70s when we thought it was magic to watch the image appear? My parents HAD to hide the camera from me, I could waste a film in no time! Too bad the price isn’t retro to match the product…$180? Ouch!
