Think Your App is the Next Big Thing? Enter Mobile Apps Showdown

Every day we get pitched tons of new apps. Whether it’s a smartphone app or a tablet app, the apps out there keep getting better and better, but that also means that it’s more difficult for apps to get proper attention under the spotlight.

So do you think that your app is the next big thing? If you think that your app has got what it takes to trounce the competition, then Mobile Apps Showdown could be a chance for your app to shine. Mobile Apps Showdown is an annual event that takes places on the show floor at CES in Vegas where the latest and great iOS, Android, BlackBerry and Windows Phone apps compete with one another for the ultimate app trophy.

I have been using mobile apps as far back as Windows CE on a Monochrome Compaq Aero 1500, so you might say that I am a veteran in this area. This year I will be one of the judges at Mobile Apps Showdown.  So be warned – I love discovering apps, but I also detest buggy apps and loath apps with ugly user interfaces.  I also can’t stand apps that are clones of apps that came before it. So you might say, that I have some pretty high standards when it comes to apps.
