  1. i think skype is incredible…if i could talk and see my family and friends in jersey it would make me so happy..thanks

  2. Skype obviously would be great. With my mother on the other side of the country and most of my family in another country, that would be a great way to get in touch with family members.

Dracula’s Coffin sounds like it would be fun too.

  3. netflix! woo!
geez if i had this tv i could get rid of cable all together! start savin my pennies!
    what an incredible TV!

  4. I had a Samsung 46″ Smart TV on my radar for a while. Hoping the holiday deals put it in my price range. The SGS2 is such a sweet phone. The integral app for the phone to control the TV is nothing short of stellar.

  5. I love all of the apps, but
especially the Netflix and Blockbuster apps, as it makes it easier, and
far cheaper to stay at home and watch a movie, then venturing out onto
the concrete jungle to go to the theater.

  6. I really like the Smart Hub. We’ve all been waiting for our apps and devices to get consolidated, and it’s great you can comment on programs via social networks while watching them!

  7. I would have to agree with the majority of comments and say skype would be an excellent app to have in the TV. Given that the TV is the centerpiece in most living rooms, it makes sense to use this application here as it would require little knowledge base for use and would be able to allow entire families to participate in video calling rather than whoever can see a tiny little handheld screen.

  8. My favorite app is the 3D explorer which would allow me to fully utilize the stunning 3D capabilities of the TV

  9. My favorite Samsung Smart TV App is the 3D Explorer app.  3D movie trailers and 3D t.v. programming sounds pretty sweet to me.

  10. I like the Mood Light App idea, using the fireplace. Reminds me of when I was a kid and the TV station would run the Yule Log all day long on Christmas.

  11. Skype is the most incredible! Thanks so much for the
    fantastic giveaway!

  12. Netflix is the only one with the most functionality for me as of now.  However, it would be fantastic to explore all the other apps.

FYI, Sony has updated their dashboard (on PS3/BluRay players) and have similar apps to these now.  This difference between manufacturers in this market is not that large and shrinking at a rapid pace.
In other words, it is great that they are all inclusive in the television, but most households still will have some form of dvd/blu ray player.  These devises (at least Sony that I know of) have these apps loaded on them.
I equate this to car manufactures who add features like hands free parallel parking, or rear view mirrors with blinkers in the mirror. While these features are wonderful, they hit you in the gut at contract signing time, and at repair time.
Could be wrong, however, but I won’t know for sure until I get one in my living room to ‘play around’ with, which obviously won’t happen until the price drops a bit.

  13. the Skype app would be AWESOME! Thanks so much, such a cool looking phone with fun features.

  14. skype, as others have said, is the revolution we’ve all been waiting for. its application on your samsung products is simply astounding.

  15. as far as hardware goes, I LOVE how thin the smart TVs are, and how little bezel there is.
when considering the software, skype is completely awesome. why don’t more TVs have this?!

  16. My favorite app has got to be the Netflix app because I love watching tv shows and movies. I love the fact that this is like a giant smart phone with 3D capabilities.

  17. Most definitely Skype. It would be great to be able to keep in touch with friends I have lost contact with that go to different colleges…oh and my parents as well.

  18. 3D Explorer, without a doubt.  Skype comes a close second but I’m not sure I want to see any of my caller’s faces that large….might scare dogs or small children.  🙂

  19. I watched the first one and find the whole concept of a ‘smart TV’ amazing. Netflix in 3D looks so realistic!

  20. My favorite app is definitely Skype. Love that I can save minutes when I’m at home on Wifi and can hear the other person better than a line line… of course the ability to see the other person is plus plus plus too! :)* It’ll be great to keep in touch, affordably. :)

  21. I love many of the apps on the Samsung Smart TV but especially Netflix, Hulu and BBC.  I can move the Roku to another room and reduce the cables even more.

    Great review.

  22. The app I like the most is the netflix and hulu plus apps. Those apps offer every video or show that I want to watch. I don’t know what I would do without them. However, the best feature is how the facebook app can be open on the side.

    Best app: netflix

  23. I like the Blockbuster and Netflix Apps being a huge movie fanatic. With those apps built into right into the TV, I wouldn’t need a seperate computer for watching the movies.

  24. I think the best app is Skype! That would be so awesome to have especially since my sister will be living in Cambodia here soon.

  25. Don’t know about true apps — plenty to like.  But I am a practical gal and like the idea of ready to go out of the box!

  26. My favorite Samsung Smart TV App is NETFLIX. No need for an external box, gaming system or hooking up to a computer to stream is awesome. Thanks for a chance to win the Galaxy S II. Happy Holidays

  27. My favorite Samsung Smart TV App is Youtube. This is a great giveaway. Thanks for the fantastic opportunity to win.

  28. I like that it has cinemanow, I have purchased a lot of movies on there.
    cmarquez482(at)ymail(dot)com.

  29. My favorite Samsung Smart TV App is Skype.  With a large screen like that, it would be like the viewscreens on the bridge in Star Trek.
