American Airlines Scores Samsung Tabs for First Class Passengers
So – what does bankruptcy actually mean in the business world, anyway? Insolvent American Airlines has somehow found the cash to provide its First Class passengers with Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1s on flights between major international airports. The tablets will be customized to feature American Airlines’ range of entertainment offerings. The Galaxy Tabs will phase out American Airlines’ current First Class entertainment system.
At first, there will only be movies, television shows, and music selections. During 2012, First Class fliers will enjoy Wi-Fi, games, and eBooks. No word on whether or not the tablets will be Words with Friends friendly down the road, or if Alec Baldwin screwed that up for his First Class buddies.
