Gresso Avantgarde Grand Premiere is the Elizabeth Taylor of Mobile Phones

8To hell with smartphones. Gresso is still one of those brave souls that still thinks people just want a plain old cell phone and a pricey one yet too! Gresso has just released a new addition to their Avantgarde collection called the Grand Premiere mobile phone.
The Grand Premiere’s design is striking and so is its weight in gold, as it contains 150 grams (5.3 ounces) of 18 carat gold. Besides gold there are also touches of black sapphire throughout. This is definitely the Elizabeth Taylor of cellphones. Just gaudy enough to still be classy, but not too flashy either. And even though the phone is hugged in yellow gold, it is still pretty thin at only 12mm. Plus, the keypad has been precision cut, a similar technique used on jewelry that allows for flawless detail and design. The numbers and letters on the phone are laser etched for easy and crisp reading.
There will only be 30 made of the Avantgarde Grand Premiere. So it is definitely a limited edition handset. The Avantgarde Grand Premiere will retail for an estimated price of $50,000 and will be running Symbian S40 as its platform.
