We have been impatiently waiting for the Samsung Galaxy Note to land in the U.S.A. ever since we first spotted it at IFA in Berlin last September. Then a few weeks ago at CES Samsung finally talked about bringing it to the U.S. via AT&T. Well the Samsung Galaxy Note has officially landed at AT&T, complete with 4G LTE support. The device, with its massive 5.3″ display will be available for pre-order starting February 5th, and it’s set to arrive on your doorstep in time for February 17th. The Galaxy Note will retail for $299 with a 2 year contract. It will be available to purchase at AT&T stores starting February 19th.
That pricing might seem pricey at first, but when you consider that the device packs in a 5.3–inch HD Super AMOLED screen with a 1280 x 800 resolution, and that it comes with a pen too, the pricing makes more sense. The included Note’s S Pen is ready to sketch drawings, write notes, or compose emails and texts in free-form handwriting. In addition, the bundled S Memo app lets you “compile your pictures, screen shots, voice recordings, typed text, handwritten notes or drawings – and turns them into a ‘memo’ that can easily be shared.”
But is it a tablet or smartphone? You decide!
