Switch Lighting brightens up CES 2012 as it presents a one of a kind, family of four, LED light bulbs. Coming in 40, 60, 75 and 100 watt-equivalents, these bulbs are not only pretty in design but offer a very unique liquid cooling function. They can last 25 times longer than antiquated and often illegal incandescent bulbs, while still providing the soft warm glow. It can be used with dimmers and turned on immediately. So we pretty much are now out of excuses for the incandescents.
In comparison with its old cousin, the incandescent, it promise you about $150 in savings over the course of its light time, uh I mean life time. $150 is nothing to scoff at. That’s a new designer purse, or shoes, or fancy dinner. With a lifetime average of 25,000 hours, it just may outlive your new shoes. Also, worth mentioning is the safety aspect, seeing that it does not contain mercury. So you don’t have to worry about your dog morphing into spider dog if it breaks. It’s all good and bright at Switch. They are currently testing the bulbs in hospitality fields, but promise a release soon. Check them out here. After all, isn’t that one sleek, pretty, and elegant bulb? We think so.
