BlackBerry App of the Week: Love Matcher Is Probably Not Going to Help You, but You Can Try Anyway

The idea behind Love Matcher is a simple one – the app calculates the likelihood of a match between you and someone else by using your names. Simple is not always good. Below the score is a daily love forecast, which is a rating from one to five stars. I think that’s supposed to refer to how your love life is looking for that day, but it’s hard to tell, because the forecast is accompanied with a random love quote (in dubious English) that doesn’t tend to do a whole lot of predicting.

The name matcher feature can be a little bit of fun if you want to waste some time checking names of your friends on Facebook. Get a few bored people together and it could make for a passably entertaining night.
