You just never know where that Britney Spears will turn up next, and now she has collaborated with Hasbro to bring a new twist to the classic Twister game. Twister Dance tosses out the spinner and mat and replaces it with colorful dots and a new Twister Dance Console. Twister Dance could be the board game version of the Just Dance video game, but perhaps could turn out to be a lot more fun.
So what is the connection here with Spears? Well because Britney loves Twister, naturally, the game comes with a custom Twister remix of “Till the World Ends”.
“Dancing has been such an important part of my life since I was a little girl,” said Britney Spears. “As soon as I saw the new Twister Dance game, I knew I wanted to be involved. I think kids will love rocking the spots and dancing to the music as much as my boys and I do. It’s a lot of fun!”
Brit will also be featured on the game packaging, in a television ad, and in dance instruction videos that will be released in Fall 2012. But if you don’t care for Britney’s music, you can hook up your iPod player and play along to your own tunes.
So how does the game work? In the place of the spinner is a Twister Dance console that flashes different colored lights and works as a speaker playing music for you to dance along too. As the colors pulsate, you will have to put your feet on the colorful dots that scatter your floor. So depending on the level of difficulty and how coordinated you are, you will be twisting the night away on these colorful dots on your hands and feet.
Ke$ha and Willow Smith, and an exclusive TWISTER DANCE song called “Caught Up in a Twister” are also included on Twister Dance. Twister Dance will be available in the Fall for $34.99.
