Windows Phone May Have Had the Best April Fool's Day Joke

Well, I’m actually a little bummed, because I thought it was high time for a pager comeback. Everyone likes retro, right?
The people behind Windows Phone joined in on the April Fool’s Day Internet hit parade, offering up what surely would have been a revolutionary and ground-breaking update of the pager, in high Metro style. But man, pagers don’t just make themselves, you know. Microsoft offered up a non-committal “2014…give or a take a few months” for what would have surely been the company’s breadwinner, if only it was real.
The Windows Phone people also threw in the most eco-friendly smartphone ever – the Windows Phone made of denim. I could almost hear smartphone case makers all over have a collective heart of attack over that idea. Again, it’s a shame it’ll never see the light of day – for as much time as our smartphones spend in our pockets, we ought to have a phone to properly match our jeans.
