The A Song of Ice and Fire series is very popular. Naturally, that led to a television adaptation. The other natural extension of popularity? Merchandise. Putting faces to names does wonderful things in the world of merch. Here’s a good example – the Daenerys Targaryen bust, complete with Viserion, her dragon companion.
Granted, you’re really getting a bust of actress Emilia Clarke, but that’s neither here nor there. More importantly, what you’re getting is sweet Game of Thrones swag, though it looks like it’s more about the show than the book series. The base is designed to resemble what you see during the opening sequence of the television show, and, again, it’s a bust of Emilia Clarke. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, of course. It should be cause for excitement for fans of the series (or, I suppose more specifically, fans of House Targaryen) either way.
If you want a bust of the young woman who puts the fire in A Song of Ice and Fire, it’ll cost you about $125 as a limited edition exclusive item from Entertainment Earth. The bust stands 7” tall, and may stare at you intently during stormy nights.
