Next to the standard fare of categories on Hermès Paris’s web site, along side “Leisure”, is a “Surprise” section. Clicking on the “Surprise” link reveals the Hermès Bicycle. This bike is made of a lacquered stainless steel, its frame, handles and saddle are also covered in Taurillon Clemence leather, while its kickstand has front and backlighting. It also sports a carrier with a bungy cord, along with a mud flap and spoke protector. The Hermès bicycle is available in a choice of two colors, and it is a “size 50” which should fit most. Most rich people they mean! The Hermes Bicycle costs a whopping $4,650.
An if you think that a bicycle made by a fashion designer is silly, think again. Puma has been pumping out some seriously slick bikes for a while now, including some folding models. Missoni also recently collaborated with Target on their own bike, which sold out quicker than you could say “Miss-“. Granted, Missoni and Puma’s bikes are priced much more affordably, but hey, the Hermès bike could make a great wedding gift for Mark Zuckerberg.
