At first glance, the iHome iP76 looks like one of those bladeless tower cooling fans. It’s actually a speaker dock for iPods and iPhones, but it would be pretty awesome if someone could get on combining those two, come to think of it.
The iP76 resembles the iPod Tower, but manages to be a little more flashy – literally. The tower is covered on two sides by LED lights that have five different modes, including strobe, pulse to music, and slow fade. Slow fade gradually changes the color of the tower between all available colors on the iP76 – indigo, blue, green, white, orange, red, violet, and yellow.
Other than the LED lights and the fact that it’s three feet tall, this is your standard iPod/iPhone dock. There is Bluetooth support, so you can stream music from any Bluetooth-enabled device to the speakers, but there is only dock for the iPod or iPhone. Reson8 speakers are powering the music listening experience.
The iP76 will sell for about $200 from iHome, but will not be available until July of this year.
