E Fun’s Nextbook Next 7S Includes Ice Cream Sandwich for $129!

Budget tablets have come a long way – a lot of specs on the E Fun Nextbook Next 7S Android tablet look like they would be right at home on a flagship product somewhere.

The very affordable tablet packs in Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box and uses the Barnes & Noble Nook store as its primary content provider. The GetJar App store is bound to be a little limited in scope, but those with less discerning tastes will probably be able to find everything they want and/or need. The Next 7S is powered by an unspecified 1 GHz processor, and features Flash 11 support, a front-facing camera, and a 1080p HD video player.

The Next 7S only has Wi-Fi support for Internet browsing, and has 4 GB of on-board storage, which is expandable to 32 GB using the microSD card slot. There is also one USB 2.0 port.

But, the Next 7S is, all things considered, still a budget tablet. It looks cheaper and less stylish than its heavy-hitting cousins, and the 800 x 480 resolution screen is going to hamper the quality of that 1080p playback. Still, for those who just want something to play around with and get some work done quickly on the go, it’s a solid pick, especially considering you can get one for $129.
