The Tyent UCE 9000 doesn’t exactly just give you purified water. It’s a water ionizer that allows you to control the pH of the water you get, depending on what you need it for. You can choose to get alkaline, antioxidant-rich water for drinking or cooking, or more acidic water for cleaning and sterilizing. There are also separate spouts for alkaline and acidic water. Multiple filters work to ensure that any undesirable minerals are removed from tap water before consumption. Those filters mean business, too – Tyent claims they’re on the same level as those used in kidney dialysis machines.
Controls are handled by a small LED panel, which has options for three different levels of acidity and alkalinity. The LED screen also displays current pH level, filter replacement status, temperature, and the time.
It’s a pretty big device, and it’s not going to work with anything but the most modern sinks, but for those with the room for one, a Tyent UCE 9000 looks to be a pretty handy device for the kitchen. Take a look at Tyent’s website for pricing and availability.
