Hone is a pretty clever gadget taking the Kickstarter route, and should prevent you from losing your keys around the house. The way it works is pretty simple.

Hone is a keychain dongle and an app, which connects your iPhone with that dongle via Bluetooth. Just attach the dongle to your keys – should you misplace your keys, use the app. The app will beep and vibrate as you get closer to the location of your keys, thanks to that Bluetooth connection. Because the dongle doesn’t use much power, its battery life is about six months, and that battery can be replaced easily. The range on Hone is about 150 feet.

Hone will also work with the new iPad, and will sell for about $50. You can head over to the Kickstarter page if you want to secure Hone for yourself, but don’t worry about getting them to their target mark – they’re a cool $10,000 over what they needed at this point. Sounds like a lot of people are tired of losing their keys.
