The latest in this summer’s Ice Cream Sandwich updates for AT&T phones have become available. This time, the Samsung Galaxy Note and Galaxy S II Skyrocket will both receive ICS updates, though neither will be available over-the-air. Owners of those phones will need to download and install the Samsung Kies Upgrade Program, then access the updates through that program by connecting your phone to your PC.

Additionally, Note owners will see a few extra features that use the S Pen. S Memo app can now be placed like a widget on the home screen, which will offer one-touch access to typing, dictation, writing, search, and adding an image. S Note features Shape Match, which cleans up hand drawn shapes, Formula Match, which can recognize mathematical formulas that are hand written, and Knowledge Search, which is a search feature integrated with Wolfram Alpha. S Note also provides seven templates for commonly used documents. Those templates include idea note, which records not only what you write, but the process of writing and rewriting so you can understand what your thought process was when you’re reviewing your notes later on.

You can access the free Samsung Kies Upgrade Program for your phone from the AT&T blog.
