Just in case you didn’t think MacBook Pros were expensive enough, you can get a (very) limited edition designer MacBook Pro, with a cost that probably won’t surprise you – a shade under $8,000, after tax.
This 13” MacBook Pro has been custom designed by French luxury brand Colibri Official and artists Craig&Karl, and features a shiny yellow finish and a pair of sunglasses painted on. This rig definitely won’t be featuring a Retina display (as of now still limited to 15” models, though that may change in the near future), but it’s not a low-end offering, either, sporting a 2.8 GHz Intel Core i7 processor and 8 GB of DDR3 RAM. There’s also get a certificate of authenticity, for what that’s worth.
Unfortunately, if your eyes were glazing over, you might be disappointed to know you can’t get your hands on this designer model. This, like all Apple custom jobs from Colibri Official, was limited to just eight produced worldwide. The custom MacBook Pro, along with a Darcel-designed iPad, are all sold out. You can still get your hands on the custom 11” MacBook Air, pictured below, but probably not for much longer – it’s also limited to just eight available worldwide. That MacBook Air features a 1.8 GHz Intel Core i7 dual-core processor, 4 GB of DDR3 RAM, and 256 GB of flash memory, and is selling for about $7,800.
