The Evernote Smart Notebook by Moleskine is stretching the limits of what deserves the “smart” title, but it’s Moleskine – it’s going to be hard to resist all the same.

This particular Moleskine notebook actually isn’t much different from any other Moleskine notebook – if you were expecting some kind of a touchscreen sketchpad, this isn’t it. It’s a traditional paper notebook – the smart part comes from paper that has been optimized for use with the Evernote Page Camera feature. Page Camera takes a photo of a notebook page and instantly makes a digital copy of it that you can save.

Dotted lines on the pages make for cleaner uploads, but the smartest part about this notebook is probably the set of Smart Stickers provided. You can use the stickers to organize the content in your notebook by the color of the sticker used – after uploading each page, Evernote can use the image of the Smart Stickers to automatically categorize the uploaded pages.

You can grab your own Evernote-friendly notebook for $25 from the Moleskine online store or the Evernote online store. Each notebook also comes with three free months of Evernote Premium. The Evernote Smart N0tebook by Moleskine ships on October 1st.
