Kensington has released a USB 3.0 docking station designed for ultrabooks that promises to give a substantial boost to the number of peripherals you can use with sometimes strapped-for-ports ultrabooks. The docking station has six USB 3.0 ports, and can connect your ultrabook to two external monitors, while being able to display video in 1080p HD to both monitors as those monitors have HD displays.
Also packed in is a Gigabit ethernet port and Audio 2.0, which should give sounds coming from your ultrabook an extra boost. There’s support for HDMI 1.3, as well. Thanks to USB 3.0 compatibility, the docking station can also facilitate file transfers as fast as 5 Gbps.
I’m not sure what you’re going to do with all those extra monitors (simultaneous gaming, movie watching, and chatting comes to mind), but it makes for one cool looking set-up, doesn’t it?
