It has been a little quiet on the Beats front as of late, but today the company announced three new products, along with a fun new marketing campaign.
The new lineup includes the Beats Pill, a wireless Bluetooth speaker, that is ready to take on the Jambox. The Beats Pill packs in NFC for tap to pair, a speakerphone for making calls, a 7 hour battery life, and the device also comes packing four ‘woofers’ inside! We got some hands-on time with the Beats Pill and it’s impressive how loud it can get despite being such a little guy. So don’t let its diminutive size fool you, the Pill is powerful enough to fill up a room. The Beats Pill goes on sale today for $199 and it’s available in a choice of bleach, white, and red.
Beats by Dr. Dre has also introduced a $99 pair of in-ear headphones called urBeats. These heapdhones feature Beats’ signature flat tangle free cable design, and they also come with an iOS compatible control system and mic. The urBeats will be available in a choice of black, white and gunmetal for $99.
Finally, Beats has finally released the Executive headphone, which are considered to be a premium pair of headphones, designed with the businessman in mind. Beats noticed that businessmen weren’t rocking their Beats, and came up with the Executive pair to lure them in. This $299 pair of headphones features active noise cancellation, making it perfect for noisy travel environments – like planes. We had some brief hands-on time with the Executive premium headphones and we like how comfortable they are on your ears. Also, they did a great job of canceling out the noise around us at the Beats media event.
