It feels like so long ago that Sony first announced the Sony Xperia TL at MWC. Well the flagship smartphone from Sony has finally arrived stateside at AT&T. The Sony Xperia TL packs in a 4.6-inch HD display with a 1080 x 720 resolution that is powered by the Mobile BRAVIA Engine. Other specs include a high resolution camera that can from standby mode (sleep) to first shot in just 1.5 seconds, built-in NFC, and it’s running on a 1.5GHz dual core processor. The device will ship with Android 4.0.4, but it promises to be upgradable to Jelly Bean soon. Unfortunately neither pricing or a release date have been announced yet.
AT&T has also announced a new competitive rate plan for their prepaid GoPhone smartphone customers. This new Monthly Unlimited Plan with Data offers unlimited talk and text, with 1 GB of data for $65 per month. Unlimited text messaging to Mexico, Canada and over 100 other countries is also included. Meanwhile the $50 monthly plan with unlimited talk and text and the $25 monthly plan with 250 minutes and unlimited nationwide text with optional data packages will continue to be available.
