In addition to being one of the better installments of the 007 franchise in recent memory, Skyfall also rang in 50 years of the venerable superspy on the big screen. Picture book publisher DK is celebrating by taking a trip through time in app form.
James Bond: 50 Years of Movie Posters, features 105 posters from the franchise’s 23 films, from Dr. No of 1962 to Skyfall of today. Some of those posters are rare or unpublished – posters even the most dedicated Bond fan may well have never seen before. As you scroll through history from Connery to Moore to Dalton to Brosnan to Craig (and I’ll bet there’s even a Lazenby or two), you’ll see captions written by Alastair Dougall, who is being touted as a Bond expert, which sounds like an awesome thing to be.
Teasers and lobby cards round out the gallery, which serves as a photographic timeline for one of the most popular film franchises of all time, and certainly one of the longest running. James Bond: 50 Years of Movie Posters, is on the iTunes App Store now for $4.99.
