If you liked the funky style of the Boombotix BB2 Wireless Portable Speaker, you’ll be glad to know that there’s an artist series out featuring three eclectic designers.
The three designers – UberPup, DGPH, and Sket One – hail from London, Argentina, and Los Angeles, respectively, and all give a bright, urban flair the the Boombotix speakers. The DGPH speakers come in one of three colors, and are decked out with skulls that match up well with the shape of the Boombotix. Sket One’s work boasts a mischievous character called Mr. Grimey, who turns the two speaker grills on the Boombotix into the eyes for his face. The UberPup offering has tons of stuff going on all over the place – termed by the artist as a personal explosion of A.D.D.
Boombots: the Artist Series will be available in both BB1 and BB2 versions (the BB1 versions lack Bluetooth capabilities). The BB1 Boombots are selling for about $55, while the BB2 Bluetooth models are selling for about $80.
