For their new DNA headphones, Monster is partnering up with Viacom for an all-out marketing blitz. On Veteran’s Day, they’ll use that new media power in a positive way – to support Spike TV’s Hire a Vet campaign, along with a few charities being run as part of that campaign.
The Hire a Vet campaign focuses mostly on assisting veterans in job seeking and training. Specifically, Hire a Vet uses Viacom’s media capabilities to help link many charities directed towards veteran assistance, while giving them more visibility and, hopefully, more funding.
The funding part is where Monster comes in. On November 12, Veteran’s Day, Monster will release a new camo version of their new triangular-shaped DNA headphones, which will be sold only at Best Buy. The headphones will be available for some time after Veteran’s Day, and an unspecified percentage of each headphone sold will go to Hire a Vet, which will in turn help to fund the IAVA, and Got Your 6.
